ABOUT THE ROLE:
You will be part of technical and transformation projects as well as operational initiatives with a variation in complexity and size, all targeting a reduction of emissions to air from vessels.
The role will be reporting to the Fleet Performance Manager.
You will be responsible for:
  • Technical performance investigations to improve the efficiency of the entire operated d’Amico Shipping Group.
  • Delivering vessel and fleet performance fact-based analyses and recommendations using our in-house vessel performance systems\ external systems as well as optimised solutions to improve liner operations.
  • Collect and analyse sustainability\emission data, and produce reports to demonstrate findings.
  • Analyse sustainability data for Emission Compliance Regulations
  • Monitor and maintain an evidence pack for the emission fleet
  • Keep up to date with current research and legislation via specialist publications
  • Participate in on-going training and development, regular performance reviews and monthly one to ones.
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties as required by the company
  • Adhere to the company and department standards, policies and procedures.
  • Apply company values in all day-to-day activities.
  • Understand the health, safety, environmental & associated legal requirements that are relevant to our work and comply with these.
  • Emission Compliance EU MRV and IMO DCS SEEMP Part II to follow the implementation of the reports and documents during the year and final verification with RO and Verifier.
  • Energy Management analysis as per ISO 50001:2018 and TMSA Audit Energy Analysis.
In this role, you will deliver a variety of tasks like:
  • Provide feedback and support to Vessel Managers in Vessel Performance-related matters with a high focus on Energy Efficiency Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Provide reports, analysis  and support different Dept involved in Sustainability/Emission  Management with a high focus on Emission Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Collate, analyse and develop a knowledge database of Vessels showing performance trends and work practices within and outside the organization.
  • Address areas of improvement and drive initiatives by providing advice to the technical and
marine superintendents.
  • Engage with industry leaders in vessel performance to secure and develop state-of-the-art tools and processes.
  • Collaborate with all stakeholders to optimize vessel performance dashboards in an efficient and structured format.
     
EXPERIENCE AND RELEVANT SKILLS
The ideal candidate has:
·         Minimum Degree in Engineering (Naval Architecture, Hydrodynamic or a related discipline).
·         Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a similar position with a proven track record of achievements.
·         Excellent relation and communication skills.
·         Proficient in IT skills and proven hands-on experience with Microsoft Office.
·         Highly motivated individual, flexible, proactive and able to work independently.
·         Strong ability to work in a team environment.
·         Excels in English written and verbal communication as well as delivering technical messages in compelling ways to internal/external stakeholders.
·         Experience of working within sustainability or a similar field is an advantage
·         Understanding of analysing data and legislation to use for practical action
·         High attention to detail across both qualitative and quantitative research and analysis
·         Strong written and visual communication at skills
