Job Description:

1. Head of Technical Studies( Marine Engineering)
This is a senior position in the Academic department. With a passion for training, the candidate should be able to manage the administration of Technical Studies Department & serve as Subject Matter Expert for Marine Engineering subjects. Must be capable of developing, and implementing curriculum that fulfills current STCW and national vocational & technical board requirements. Preference will be given to those with experience as Head of Department for Marine Engineering studies in any recognized Maritime Institutes. Must be able to work seamlessly in a multi-cultural environment.
 Experience & Qualification:
Bachelor’s Degree in Marine Engineering or its Equivalent with Class I Marine Engineer’s Certificate of Competency – Unlimited. (Professional)
Excellent computer skills
Demonstrated high degree of professional competency, administrative capabilities in general management and maintenance of Marine Crafts & Equipment
Sailing experience as a Chief Engineer of minimum 2 years in ocean going ships, including Oil/Chem tankers
Minimum 5 years teaching experience in any recognized maritime institute and at least 1 year as  Head of department. Simulator training experience will be  an added advantage.

2. Electrical Engineering Instructor
We are looking for a qualified and highly experienced: Electrical Engineering Instructor to be based at our Maritime Institute in Marshall, Liberia. The Electrical Engineering Instructor (EEI) is a full time staff position and shall assist the Head of Technical Studies (HTS) in training LMTI cadets theoretically and practically in Electrical and Electronic engineering. 
The selected candidate should have a passion for training and be able to train LMTI cadets in the safe operation and maintenance of electrical & electronic equipment onboard ships and other industry.
Be able to operate and maintain all live marine plants and machineries such the boiler, incinerator, pumps, air compressor, purifiers etc. in the technical workshop and train cadets for their safe operation and proper maintenance.
Demonstrate and train the cadets in the assembly, disassembly and maintenance of all electrical equipment and simulators at LMTI Electrical & Electronic lab.
Ensure quality curriculum delivery for topics related to Marine Electrical Practice.
 
 Experience & Qualification:
Onboard Sailing experience as an Electrical Engineer or ETO minimum 2 years
Teaching experience in an approved maritime institute minimum 2 years (Mandatory)
Working experience in any land based industry as an Electrical Engineer will be an added advantage.
 Minimum bachelor degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering (EEE). Additional Electro-Technical Officer (ETO) COC will be an added advantage.
