CREWING MANAGER – MANILA OFFICE
TECHNICAL DEPARTMENT

Key Responsibilities:
    • Overall responsible for effective and efficient operational crew management of Company’s vessels in compliance with relevant legislation, delivering high crewing service standards.
    • Overall responsible for on-time Crew Relief Planning, ensuring that all vessels are adequately manned as per Flag State requirements, Oil Major crew matrix compliance and in line with Company procedures.
    • Maintain overview of all Manning operations, expenses, P&I claims, Shore Medical.
    • Responsible for developing a Recruitment strategy to attract good quality crew and for future growth in manning, in co-ordination with internal and external Manning agents.
    • Act as the liaison between Crewing, Technical, Safety, Commercial and Accounting Teams for all manning related issues.
    • Responsible for continuously improving processes, arrangement and increasing efficiencies, developing the Crewing software processes and digitization of all Crewing activities.
    • Responsible for ISO 9000, 14000, 45000 certification for Crewing aspects.
    • Maintain close interactions with Crew Unions and Flag Authorities, assisting with Crew Bargaining Agreement negotiations.
    • Keep track of market trends and seafarers’ wages in the many sourcing areas.
    • Assist with preparation of relevant Management reports and monitor compliance to KPI’s.
    • Prepare Annual Manning Budgets and Wage scales. Review OPEX monthly and report variances.
    • Provide guidance on HR matters, such as Crew Welfare, Crew benefits, Crew enrichment, performance management and supervisory coaching.

Requirements:
    • Candidates with Sailing experience - Sailed as Master / Chief Officer / Chief engineer / Second engineer. No shore experience required.
    • Candidates with no Sailing experience - Degree / Diploma in relevant disciplines. Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in a reputable shipping / ship management company.
    • Ability to travel at short notice and manage 24/7 on call lifestyle.
    • Committed and responsible in meeting deadlines with excellent time management skills.  
    • Independent, outcome driven, organized and resourceful.
    • Strong team orientation and has the ability to manage cross-functional relationships in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
